The song Red draws on the symbolism within the 2004 movie The Matrix (inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland) which highlights the choice between swallowing one of two pills - blue or red. Blue offers a passive acceptance of the status quo, while Red prompts those who swallow it to challenge the myths and dispute the religious and socio-cultural ‘givens’ – all in the quest for the truth - for what is real.

Artwork featured on the CD, commissioned for the CRU Conference, is by local artists involved with Access Arts.
