Movement Differences and Diversity in Autism/Mental Retardation: Appreciating and Accommodating People with Communication and Behavior Challenges - Order this book by Anne M. Donnellan and Martha R. Leary - For a long time people with communication and behavioural difficulties have been subject to practices based on coercion and control. "Invented Knowledge and Autism: Highlighting Our Strengths and Expanding the Conversation" - In this commentary Anne Donnellan reflects on current and future directions around autism. She suggests that professionals would profit from an expansion of conversation beyond the present data set and conceptual models of what we know and what we think we know.

Seeing Movement - An information brochure which discusses how our perception of movement and sensory differences can change our perception of people diagnosed with autism/PDD, mental retardation and related disabilities.
